After reading Tyler Kepner’s article in the Times today about Phil Hughes’s blog (http://philhughes.wordpress.com), I wonder how many other MLB pitchers besides he and Curt Schilling maintain blogs – rather than issue on-line ‘updates’ about how they are doing.
I think Hughes’s blog is kind of refreshing, because it’s not a big PR job or exercise in hoopla and fakery – I wonder how Mike Mussina feels, having a cellphone snapshot of his locker wall displayed on the internet. Of course, now that his blog’s popularity is well established, the Yankees will probably trade him away.
